Roberts, what is your callsign (just trying to place you back )

As far as radios, we use the Motorola CP200. They are not cheap but they are effective. You will also need a software/cable to program them, depending if you want to stick to the FRS channel or go custom as we do.

The Motorola GP68 is another one I heard great thing about but having to order them from oversea doesn't make me feel good...

Thanks, one more question, should I get UHF or VHF. I don't mind spending a little more, the 60$ I already spent on the last radio was a waste so I'm probly better off aiming for higher quality.

Darn me! I am so used to callsign now that when I get the real name in my face, I am completely blind. My apology Roberts, I know exactly who you are now.

That being said, I would personally recommend UHF because this is what 98% of the players use. If you had a full team with VHF and would not mind not talking to other players or would have an RTO on hand with UHF capability, the VHF could be an option but for now, You need to go UHF.

Thanks for the help, found everything on ebay for about 140$

While I'm asking questions, any advice on a good place to airsoft when springfield isn't having an event?

Easy answer: NO.
:D

Seriously though, I heard great things about ruin raiders (milsim wise). It is a bit far though (assuming you are from the Dayton area).
Valley Creek is also a good place but smaller scale event. The other fields? some are more open play oriented or I personally have no experience with so I will abstract myself from judging/commenting about them.

Thanks, I'll check those places out.

And yea, I'm not a big fan of playing airsoft on paintball fields, too many kids in bright custom painted face masks.

Avoiding the goo will definitely limits the place you can go but that is the smarter way to go.

How is the M14 modification going btw? got the stock figured out?

That gun is a pain in the ass, but I plan on puting a lot more work into its durability, it's just way too heavy for how long it is, something broke every single time I droped it that day. I'm gonna glue/rivet/screw on a buttstock and add some extra supports for the really-long outer barrrel. Internally I plan on going semi auto only and pushing 450 fps with .3s. I think a sp160 with a 650mm 6.01 barrel could do that. The ultimate goal is to make a heavy DMR that leans more towards sniper than assault rifle.
